Introducing our divisions

Production

As a construction mechanic or machine and plant operator, you will be the critical component in our production of longitudinally welded carbon steel pipes. As part of our EEW team, you will be involved in a variety of tasks and major projects that will challenge your technical skills. This will allow you to make full use of your craftsmanship and technical knowledge.

Technology

You dive deep into our product world - because as a specialist in the technical field, you are very good at it. When it comes to leading technical projects for our customers, driving the company-wide development and design of new products and projects, or adapting and improving existing products, you are in demand.

Maintenance

In our maintenance department, you ensure that production runs smoothly. You are responsible for our machinery, and regularly inspect and maintain the machines there. You also ensure that they are in working order. You work closely with the production, welding technology, non-destructive testing and energy management departments.

Human Resources and Legal

In our HR department, you ensure that all employees have the opportunity to develop and pursue their goals in the position that best suits them. As part of our legal department, you review and negotiate contracts for multi-million dollar projects, laying the foundation for EEW to be a competitive company.

Marketing & Strategy

At EEW, marketing and strategy go hand in hand. You ensure that EEW positions itself appropriately as the world market leader in the steel pipe industry, but is also perceived as an attractive employer. You work closely with the sales teams, the HR department and many other areas in the company and implement modern marketing and communication measures.

IT

IT Infrastructure & IT Application Development

You dive deep into our IT world - because you can. When it comes to advancing the company-wide planning, setup and administration of networks print services and ensuring optimal performance with optimal workstation and server systems, then you're in demand.

Einkauf

Purchasing & Logistics

As an active part of our purchasing department, you ensure that the needs of the company's projects and products are optimally supported. In doing so, you identify suitable suppliers, use your negotiation skills to ensure cost-efficient, high-quality and timely delivery, and regularly re-evaluate our suppliers' performance in the process.

Sales & Project Management

As an active part of our central sales department, you will ensure that all our production sites have sufficient orders. In doing so, you'll help create and implement sales strategies, maintain customer relationships and achieve sales targets. Large orders in the millions don't scare you, so you'll be right at home with us, too.

Finance & Controlling

As an active part of our finance department, you ensure that financial resources are available and used optimally. In doing so, you control our commercial processes and ensure cooperation with auditors and consulting firms.

In this way, you identify previously undiscovered potential and support the management in the development and implementation of our corporate strategy.

Working insights

How would you describe your job and what do you value?

Working as a commercial lawyer since 2019, I am the contact person for all legal matters. My main areas of focus are international contract law, where I handle contract reviews, provide advice and manage projects, as well as company law. Together with the sales department, I work towards minimising risks and reach agreements with customers. I really enjoy the international focus and the daily use of English. I am appreciative of the chance to begin my career in this role as a young graduate and to further develop my skills.

What is your career path at EEW?

I started as a sales employee in 2001 and then progressed to a departmentalmanager and ultimately a sales manager for line pipes and process pipes as well as being responsible as an authorised signatory. My activities include the strategic discussion of projects, customer care and the overall organisation of the department. I enjoy taking responsibility for the harmonious sales team and collaborating closely with colleagues from other departments. I also particularly enjoy travelling and getting to know other cultures and people. As all colleagues work on an equal footing, there is a pleasant working atmosphere.

Hendrik Frank, General Manager Sales | Line & Process Pipes

What excites you the most about your job?

Since completing my training at EEW, I have been responsible for the entire accounts payable and receivable accounting. At that time, financial accounting was my final department during my training.
My job includes, among other things, processing and posting all documents, executing payments, as well as contributing to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks.
My workday is extremely varied, as I continuously collaborate with other departments and stay in contact with our suppliers. In our department, we maintain a relaxed atmosphere where we can both work focused and have fun together. Additionally, we regularly go on company outings and also have a good relationship with each other privately.

What do you particularly enjoy about your job?

My focus is on supporting our employee app 'NEEWS'. I work closely with other departments to create content, which gives me exciting insights into different areas of the company. I like the versatility of my role, which combines organisation, project management and creativity. I enjoy tackling challenges, finding innovative solutions and bringing imaginative concepts to life.

Carolin Helsper, Marketing Manager

How would you describe your job?

I have been working in project management at EEW since December 2004. My responsibilities involve looking after customer orders and projects from the awarding of the contract through to the final invoice payment. I am constantly in contact with customers and colleagues to ensure that everything runs smoothly. 
Our team thrives on daily challenges and maintains a close dialogue and strong cohesion, both with each other and our supervisor as well as with other colleagues.

Markus Presse, Project Manager

What do you like about your job?

In my initial role as an IT consultant, my main task was to solve problems related to forCOM and L-Mobile. Progressing to the position of Solution Manager, my focus shifted to implementing IFS Cloud. Our aim is to standardise as many business processes as possible between PPE and SPC and map them in the new IFS ERP system. As the the IT team leader in the ‘Application’ area,  I coordinate the tasks within my team. Together, we ensure that our colleagues have access to the most secure and modern IT landscape possible in order to minimise errors and maximise productivity. Overcoming challenges collectively is an essential part of my professional fulfilment and motivation. ‘I'm looking forward to the coming years at EEW and to continuing to help optimise our IT landscape and supporting my colleagues.’

How do you feel about the working atmosphere at EEW?

The atmosphere at EEW is characterized by a very good collegial interaction with flat hierarchies.
We work well together as a team and support each other.

What particularly excites you about your job?

One of my tasks is to set up and continuously develop international HR controlling at EEW. The intercultural exchange with colleagues at the foreign locations is a lot of fun for me and makes my day-to-day work very varied. I work a lot with Excel, numbers and data sheets - the more complex the formulas are, the better. EEW is always open to good ideas and new perspectives, I appreciate that very much.

What is most interesting about your work?

Accompanying and supporting the internationalization of the EEW Group, with the construction of further plants worldwide and the development towards a central sales department, was extremely interesting and successful. In addition, I was able to gain versatile insights into other large companies. My versatile sales job also allows me to gain valuable and interesting experience in dealing with other cultures and countries. I have even made real friends with some long-standing business partners.

What is your career at EEW?

I started at EEW in Erndtebrück in 2010 immediately after my business studies. At that time, I worked in the Controlling department. In the meantime, the Finance department has grown significantly and various specialist departments have been established. For about 6 years, I have been the Head of the Controlling department. With the restructuring of the company and the foundation of the holding company two years ago, I also became head of the department for group accounting. At the same time, I completed a part-time master's degree. EEW makes it possible for all employees who want to and are committed to advancement, to reach new career levels and to continue their education at the same time - I like that very much.
